Fit, Function, & Performance:
The CorkSport Short Ram Intake was specifically designed for the 2018+ Mazda 6 2.5T. The combination of a precision machined MAF housing, laminar flow silicone elbow, high flow dry-element air filter, and formed anodized mounting bracket.
Performance & Sound:
The factory airbox in the Mazda 6 not only restricts airflow, but also the many turbo induction noises. As an added bonus, the audible turbo and bypass valve sounds are greatly improved and increased with the CorkSport Short Ram Intake. This will put a smile on your face whether you’re commuting to work or attacking a back road. We highly suggest you watch the product video above if you haven’t yet.
Bolt-On Power Gains:
The improved flow and efficiency gained from the CS Short Ram Intake contributes an additional 5-16whp and 7-23wtq. This is achieved with no tuning or triggering check engine lights.
Precision Machined:
CorkSport MAF housings are CNC machined from 6061-T6 billet aluminum for precise dimensional tolerance. The MAF sensor monitors all airflow entering the engine, therefore MAF alignment and consistency of the MAF housing inner diameter is critical for proper air fuel ratios and ECU engine management.
Laminar Flow:
Turbulence and flow resistance is the #1 leading killer of performance from your Mazda. The CorkSport SRI replaces the turbulent ribbed rubber coupler with a 4-ply reinforced silicone coupler. This reduces turbulence within the airflow entering your Mazda’s engine, thus increasing efficiency and power.
Dry-Flow Filter:
Filtration is key to a long-lasting and reliable performance intake; that’s why every CorkSport Intake System utilizes an AEM Dry-Flow Air Filter for its superior filtration and airflow. The dry-flow filter is washable and reusable

This Short Ram Intake is well made and I could definitely feel the difference in the throttle response. The car feels like it has a little more pep in its step. Also, you can hear pphhhsss of the turbos bypass valve. It is a quick and easy upgrade well worth doing not only for the performance gains, but the audio and visual experience as well.

I have been buying CorkSport products for about 5 years now, and as soon as this was released I purchased the intake knowing it would be high quality and provide the improvements I was looking for. This is a great upgrade to the 2.5T engine. I was thrilled with the performance of the stock engine, but since it is a family sedan, the engine noise was too quiet for my taste. The intake was a great addition to the car, I can now hear the turbo spool and the bypass valve when shifting/letting off the throttle. The noise level is low enough that my wife did not notice a change with the windows up, though hard driving you can hear some volume increase (mainly the BPV). With the windows down the intake sounds terrific! While I have not dyno'ed the car, I do feel that it does pull better in the 5-6k range where it felt the turbo was running short previously, though it may just be placebo effect. Either way the sound alone is worth it, I would highly recommend this product.

Excellent product. No issues with the install and the engine runs great. Don't let the video fool you, the sounds are very subdued. Actually can't hear a thing inside the car with the sound system on low volume, and with the sound system on mute you can barely hear it. Roll the windows down and you can hear it, but it is not ricer at all. Very classy and fits the nature of the car perfectly. Love the bracket, BTW.
