CorkSport designed this Short Ram Intake specifically for the Mazda 3 2.5L SkyActiv Turbo and CX-30, with a focus on achieving optimal fit and performance. The kit features a precision-machined billet aluminum MAF housing, a laser-cut mounting bracket, a reinforced laminar flow silicone elbow, and a high-flow dry-element air filter. We've designed the SRI to fit within your Mazda 3 and CX-30.
Sound:
The Mazda 3 Turbo's stock air box leaves ample room for improvement, particularly when it comes to enhancing the overall driving experience. One critical area for improvement is the sound emanating from the engine. The CorkSport Short Ram Intake unlocks a pleasing sound from the turbo and bypass valve, eliciting a smile every time you take your Mazda 3 Turbo out for a drive.
Bolt On Performance:
The CS Short Ram Intake's enhanced flow and efficiency can result in an additional 5-16whp and 7-23wtq without the need for tuning or the triggering of any check engine lights.
Precision Machined:
CorkSport's MAF housings are crafted from 6061-T6 billet aluminum using a CNC, ensuring tight tolerances are maintained. This level of accuracy is critical because the MAF sensor is responsible for measuring the amount of air entering the engine, which is essential for achieving the proper air-fuel ratios and drivability.
Laminar Flow:
The main contributing factor to the performance boost delivered by the CS Short Ram Intake is the reduction of turbulence in the intake. This is achieved by replacing the OEM ribbed intake elbow, which has a varying internal size, with a smooth 4-ply reinforced silicone elbow. This simple change leads to heightened power and efficiency.
Dry-Flow Filter:
The dry flow filter is designed to be a long-lasting filter that is reliable for your performance needs. The Mazda 3 and CX-30 includes a 3.5” Dry-Flow Air Filter to provide excellent filtration and airflow that is also washable and reusable.
- No Tuning required and no Check Engine Lights.
- There will be added engine, turbocharger, and bypass valve noise as a result of installing this intake. “Whoosh” or “psshh” sounds are normal and do not need to be worried about.

This has to be in my top 3 mods I've done. The turbo noises and performance increase you get with the intake makes it such an amazing starting mod. You can clearly hear the turbo spool up and the bypass valve sounds exactly like a BOV, almost like a 2-for-1. The intake doesn't disappoint in the performance department either. It allows the car to spool faster and harder, especially at WOT, while also improving throttle response.

This was the first mod i got for my M3 Turbo. I have to say it is worth it. The installation process was super easy with Corksport's instructions. You can hear the intake noise when getting on the throttle and a nice blowoff when letting off. Also a lot better looking under the hood than the stock intake.

I just installed the intake and heat shield on my '21 CX-30 Turbo. It took a little under an hour as I took my time to do a good job. The instructions were clear and easy to follow, and the final product looks great under the hood, because, as always, Corksport makes a quality-looking product. I can hear some whoosh from the turbo, but it is not obnoxious. The CX-30 has excellent engine isolation which makes for comfortable cruising. Hearing it remote start from the outside was pretty sweet as it had a throatier growl, but it settles down nicely. Not sure it's my imagination but the car feels peppier off the line. Now both ends of the car are finished with the Corksport exhaust at the rear and the SRI up front. Great job CS!

I couldn't agree more with the other reviews about this product in regards to the easy install and awesome sound it makes when the turbo spools up! The only negative is I don't play music as much because I want to hear the intake. Install was about 20 minutes. I added the heat shield later which was a good addition to help reduce hot air as it uses the OEM intake to bring in outside air. Make sure to keep the OEM box if you don't plan on buying the heat shield right away.

This thing is a snap to install, and I can never get tired of the induction noise. I've sampled a few competitors designs and this paired with the heat shield is easily my favorite. You can even improve MPG if you can manage your thirst for turbo noises.

Is everything corksport advertises. I've had the SRI with heat shield on for about two weeks. Noticed immediate improved acceleration and gas mileage as you would expect. Car now sounds like a turbo should! Great product, zero issues so far.
