CONFIRMED: The CorkSport Axle Back Exhaust fits and sounds fantastic on the 2019+ Mazda 3 & CX30 2.0L engines!
Mazda made some big improvements to the quality of the 4th GEN Mazda3 and one area that stands out in particular is the improvements to road noise. This is fantastic when cruising on the highway, but there’s one area that is just too quiet: exhaust. Luckily we have just the fix with the CorkSport Axle-Back Exhaust for 2019+ Mazda 3 & CX-30 2.5L & 2.0L. Add some needed excitement to your Mazda 3 by adding some character to your exhaust note. Loud enough to enjoy during aggressive driving, but quiet for cruising and the daily commute. Check out the video for sound clips and read on for full details!#ZoomZoom!

The CorkSport Advantage
Performance Sound:
The CorkSport ABE replaces the restrictive OEM muffler section with a high flow, pass-thru resonator that provides volume when you want it, but minimizes drone and excess noise when cruising. The GEN4 Mazda 3 axle back is an atypical design with an offset inlet flange. This led us to use a single, long resonator on one side. We even tested different resonator combinations and found the single resonator to be the best combination of great tone plus drone elimination. Be sure to check out the product video for sound clips!
Bolt-On Power:
The CS Axleback exhaust also ensures your 3 is not all bark and no bite. We increased the exhaust diameter from 50-55mm (depending on where you measure) up to 63.5mm. This diameter increase combined with removing the restrictive OEM muffler really helps your Sky-G breathe better. Dyno testing in a controlled and repeatable setup showed gains of 3-5wHP & 2-3wTQ across the RPM range. While not a huge number we are happy to see a gain and expect more when the CorkSport Mid-Pipes are also installed (coming soon!).
Appearance Boost:
We did not forget about appearance. The rear end of the 4th Gens are let down by the too-small OEM exhaust tips. We increased their size up to 90mm to fill out the bumper cutouts. The CorkSport Exhaust uses a dual wall, slant cut design that is rotated to help match the curve of the OEM bumper. As a finishing touch, laser-engraved CorkSport name badges are added to really set off the look.
Personalized Look:
For the new Mazda 3 we also incorporated a new feature into the CS exhaust: tip length adjustment. Each tip is attached with a slip fitting and an exhaust band clamp that has proven not to leak or loosen up in use. This gives you up to 10mm of length adjustment to dial in your preference. That’s not all though. We have three different tip options to choose from: Mazda 3 Hatchback, Mazda 3 Hatch with Appearance Kit, Mazda 3 Sedan and the new CX-30.
Model Specific Design:
We specifically designed two different length tips for the Mazda 3 Hatchback due to the design of the Mazda Appearance Package. The rear bumper skirt adds a lot of length to the car…hiding the tips from view. With the Appearance Package-specific design, the tips are prominent in the rear bumper skirt as they should be. (The Hatchback Appearance Package tips are 45mm longer than standard Hatchback tips).
Materials & Manufacturing:
Each CorkSport ABE is made from fully polished, mandrel bent, 304 stainless steel. This gives a great look that will stand up to the test of time. To ensure strength, each joint is TIG welded and the inlet flange is laser cut for optimum fitment. Each exhaust comes with all hardware needed for installation and we even provide full-color installation instructions!
- NVH (noise, vibration and harshness) in the cabin of your vehicle will be increased by the installation of this exhaust. We highly recommend you view the above video to hear the exhaust note inside and outside the vehicle.
- Not confirmed to work with Skyactiv X engine. Use at your own risk.

I overall love this product. From the look of the exhaust tips to the sound, it is amazing. The installation process was not too hard either which made this a fun little project with a great outcome. This was the first modification I made to my Mazda 3 and it really made it more fun to drive!

I purchased a corksport axle back exhaust for my 2021 CX30. Awd drive last year. And while it looks absolutely fantastic and the sound is wonderful, I have an issue. After following the instructions to A T and finally setting my torque to 38' pounds of torque to attach the 2 bolts to the exhaust. Eight weeks later I get an exhaust Leak. I don't know if anybody else has had or run into this yet ,but it got so bad that i had to take it off the car, so now it's sitting down Stairs in the Box waiting for a fix. It certainly looks like I need a flange gasket to make the proper seal. Any thoughts?? I don't know what to do about it. Thx

I installed the Corksport axle-back on my 2021 Mazda 3 AWD NA AT sedan a few day ago. At this point my exhaust system as well as intake is completely stock. I only have quite a few chassis bracing upgrades as well as a stiffer rear engine mount and a very stiff added rear sway bar. The installation was perfect and generally very satisfying as has been my experience with all Corksport products. The is a major flaw I noticed however. The clamps that are provided to attach the variable length tips onto the pipes coming out of the muffler is just a terrible design idea. I just don't like them to begin with, and the left one did not clamp hard at all. The right one held the tip in place when torqued down to 40 lb-ft, the left one however did not hold the tip at neither 40 lb-ft or 60 lb-ft. I even tried it the clamp at various positions to overcome this but with no success. So with the left tip barely on there, I drove my Mazda 3 to a local muffler shop and got the tips welded on there after removing the unnecessary clamps. If you ask me, they should come from Corksport welded. The axle-back is very quiet. Only on cold start it is pretty loud, other than that it is quite subdued. So much so that I even thought about getting the muffler on the left side chopped out by the muffler shop while I was there. However, the loud cold start will probably deter me from doing so. Inside the cabin, there is very little added shaking, which I absolutely love. The note of the exhaust while driving is slightly louder and a lot deeper. There seems to be a bit more throttle response, and more power. Especially the lower rpms seem much more useable now. It made the car more enjoyable to drive for sure. I am very happy with the axle-back. The only reason that I did not also upgrade the mid-pipe immediately with the 2.5" one that Corksport offers is the lack of the second cat in their mid-pipe, which makes me concerned about the environmental impact. Someone had mentioned that the Corksport mid-pipe coupled with the axle-back is quieter than just the Corksport axle-back on a gen 4 Mazda 3 NA. If this is the case, I may bite the bullet and get a high-flow cat and the Corksport mid-pipe, get the high-flow cat installed onto the Corksport mid-pipe and swap the oem mid-pipe with this mid-pipe. To not get the Karens looking at my car when I cold start it may be enough of an excuse for me to do this upgrade.

Sounds amazing and excellent value compared to the few other ones out there! Nice deep rumble for a 2.5", will support plenty of HP even on my turbo!

I just installed this today on my 2022 Mazda 3 Turbo HB. Everything went fine with the install. For some complaining about the tips being hard to put on, I say make sure the clamps are Fully Open and tips slide right on. The sound is mellow and deep. Cabin sound is minimal until you really get into the throttle. I am happy it is quiet because that means there is a mid-pipe in my future.

Awesome quality axle back exhaust for my CX 30 Turbo. Much lighter than the huge stock suitcase muffler. The Corksport axle back also doesn’t contact my trailer hitch like the stock muffler did. The tips are a breeze to put on if you use a little bit of silicone spray to help slide them on. Makes adjustments easy as well. Could not be happier with Corksports quality, packaging and shipping. A+++++++

Don’t worry about the unconventional set up of a straight pipe and a muffler, a lot of thought obviously went into that. It just what I was looking for. Quiet when you want it, and noticeable when you accelerate. Not your little racer civic sounding. Easy to install. Be careful with removing the factory muffler though there are lots of places to cut yourself on (I know) it was also harder than expected to install the tips, one may need a rubber mallet.

Beautiful welds, Great packaging, simple install I had it professionally done and it was amazing. Sounds Great at low rpms and simply divine at higher, never raspy. People on the first day said it sounds amazing. the Installers said wow this sounds so good. Great first mod.
