We strongly encourage you to watch the product video below to get a sense of the volume and unique tones that come with this exhaust! For full information, check out the details below.

Performance Sound

The sound is the truly unique feature of the CorkSport 80mm Cat Back Exhaust. The 80mm piping really lets the SkyActiv-G engine sing, even more so than the CorkSport 60.5mm variant. The increase in volume also comes with some fantastic & unique tones that make hitting a curvy road exciting. We didn’t just copy the original 60.5mm design though and make the pipes bigger, we went through multiple resonator designs to get the best sound without ruining the drivability of the Mazda 3.

Adding Power & Room for future Mods

By replacing the restrictive stock exhaust with large-diameter mandrel bent piping and high-flowing resonators, we are able to gain some much-needed horsepower. When compared back to back with an OEM exhaust, the CorkSport 80mm made 5-7WHP. No tuning or part changes other than the exhaust swap. This will pair well with future GEN3 parts in the works that will probably need that extra volume for optimal power. And whoever said planning ahead was a bad thing?

Style Boost

The aggressive sound comes with an aggressive look to match. Each exhaust tip has been enlarged to 100mm (just under 4”). For the hatchback, these tips are dual wall & slant cut to match the bumper shape and fill out the cutouts. For the sedan, single wall tips are used to ensure water and debris don’t build up in the turn-down. In each case, the exhaust accents the rear of the car to give an aftermarket look that is stylish and the way it should have come from Mazda.

High Quality Materials & Manufacturing

Each exhaust is made from fully polished T-304 stainless steel that is TIG welded together. This combo makes for a great-looking exhaust that will last as long as your Mazda. All the flanges are laser cut for consistency and 9mm (~3/8”) thick to prevent warping. This package is wrapped up with high-strength hardware, full-color install instructions, and all the gaskets you need for a painless install.

The 80MM catback is the ultimate sound upgrade for your third gen mazda 3. If you want the loud pedal to make the appropriate sounds when you need it to this exhaust will deliver. This will also unlock the overhead for the turbo kits maximum power if you decide to go this route. I can't recommend this enough if you are wanting the most out of your mazda.

It sure is exhausting finding a good exhaust... is what I would say if I hadn't found this one. Beautifully constructed, very solid welds with good penetration, and high quality crush gaskets included for a painless install! The Mazda 3 does not sound like your typical 4 banger; this exhaust brings it to life with a nice low rumble and a deep tone. Given this is an 80mm, you have to accept that it will be loud so if that is not your vibe then I would recommend one of the smaller diameter exhausts offered by CS. For me, I love how giddy it makes me feel to hear the crisp exhaust note whenever I step on the gas. Don't forget to wipe off any fingerprints before turning on the car for that glorious cold start with your new shiny exhaust!

I’ve been through a lot of exhaust setups, and I mean a lot. But this setup was different than the others. It sounds mean. It’s definitely a loud exhaust and that’s what makes it great. It’s not an obnoxious loud, it’s a good sounding loud growl. Minimal drone on the interstate. Absolutely love the growl you get from flooring it. This setup not only sounds great, but it also looks absolutely amazing. Those two shiny mufflers hanging down with the very nice smooth exhaust tips is just gorgeous. Literally makes me smile when I come up behind it at work during the day.

I got this exhaust to replace the muffler delete I did as I wanted more performance and looks, plus at some point I do plan on going forced induction so it works as future proofing, anyway as many of the other reviews have stated this exhaust is LOUD, very loud, like I said I used to have a muffler delete and it was decently loud, then I installed this and after the first cold start it was incredibly obvious how much louder it is, the video really doesn't show how loud this exhaust really is, you WILL wake up your neighbors with a cold start, and people will defiantly hear you coming, even with that I do love the exhaust, the tones and sounds it produces are so amazing, it sounds like a proper sports car, and the performance increase is defiantly visible, one thing I will say is that it seems to be loud at all rpm with decent throttle, but when just cruising its almost silent (at least inside the car with the windows down) but when you get on the throttle it screams, but even when lightly accelerating its very loud, but then again that's only until you're up to speed. All in all, this is an amazing exhaust, very easy to install and defiantly high quality, its a little difficult to install if you're doing it in you're driveway and your stock exhaust flange bolts are rusted but other than that I had no issues when installing it

This was the first modification I did to my car and I love starting it up and driving the backroads. There are multiple tones with this exhaust. here is a video I did showing off the cold start of the exhaust. https://youtu.be/3oOGaX4lbTg

Wanted to write a review for others since there were so few of them when I purchased. First off, the other guys are right, this exhaust is LOUD. I probably would have gone with just an axle-back if I had know just HOW loud it was going to be. Cold starts early in the morning WILL wake your neighbors. The tone is awesome though, nice deep rumble that you wouldn't expect, not tinny and not a drone. Is there vibration? Yes, but only really noticeable if you floor it through the mid band. Is it loud all the time? No, under little to no load (idling or cruising on a flat road) it's pretty subdued, but as soon as you give it gas or downshift, everyone's going to know you're coming. As a driveway mechanic I'd say the installation is easy enough and the instructions are pretty clear. I'd highly recommend spraying the flange bolts with rust penetrate prior to the job as those were the only bolts that gave me issues. Took me about 3 hours without a lift. Haven't had my car (a 2.0 L Three) dynoed yet but it seems slightly more zippy. Would definitely pair this with an intake upgrade and possibly a tune (which is my next step). Overall I'd say if you don't mind a bit more cabin noise and want a solid tone when you gas it, this is the exhaust for you.

It's a great exhaust system that pairs well with the intake system. I had my car tuned with it all and she performs beautifully. Definitely can't keep spare change in the console anymore and you'll know about every loose piece of plastic in your car. Don't underestimate the noise and vibration this produces, moreso the vibration. I think it sounds great and it makes me smile every time I hammer it. Would recommend if you like loud cars.

How loud can your Mazda3 be? Very loud. Its not the noise that gets you though, it is the vibration. I expected as much noise as I got (Which is much more than you might think) but i drastically underestimated the amount of vibration. This is not to say that there is no comfort in the ride anymore. On the contrary, there are several points at cruising speeds where the car sounds nearly stock. You will have to adjust your driving style to find these points and cruise comfortably. There are noticeable gains when paired with the short ram intake and cold air box. On acceleration, The vibration hides the extra power but I was at 80mph long before I realized. Had it professionally installed and it took about 1.5 hours. a good amount of that was unwrapping the plastic. Do take careful consideration in buying this, there will be no sleeping children in the car if you have this installed. IF you dont care about that stuff, it will put a smile on your face every time you step on the gas. :)

Is it loud? Yes, it's really loud. I can't enjoy music the same way like before. Do you feel the vibration? Yes, you do. Every time you step on the pedal, you feel it in your seat. As they already said, consider this carefully.

You want your Mazda6 to sound as good as it looks, get this exhaust. This is the first aftermarket exhaust I have purchased and installed, and the overall experience was better than what I expected. I have access to a lift so the installation was painless. I also purchased exhaust hanger pliers (like 15$ on Amazon) as they were recommended (not required) by the installation manual, and they made the installation even easier. I’m in my 40’s and didn’t want some annoying sounding exhaust I hear driving by all the time. Although the exhaust is louder than I expected, it’s at all the right times. Just what I was looking for. Cruising speeds are a quiet, low, deep sound with very little to no interference with in-cabin phone calls or your favorite music. Then, when you give it some gas, it sounds like what I would expect a high performance exhaust should sound like for this car. I am glad waited for CorkSport to release this exhaust made specifically for the Mazda6 instead of picking up the more universal Magna Flow cat-back. Under medium to heavy acceleration I do get a slight plastic vibration sound emitted from the passenger door sometimes that I can’t seem to nail down. Probably the only other non-issue for me is the how loud the exhaust is during the 45 seconds after starting the car. The computer adds extra fuel to warm up the catalytic converter faster and that 45 seconds is loud, after that it purrs like a lion.
