It took me all of an hour plus a little bit longer to get this into my engine bay. The ECU location looks so easy to deal with in the video, but my experience didn't match up in the same way(I wondered if this was a piece worth installing).
In the end I concluded that the battery in my car - a Mazda-branded cell - is slightly longer than the one in the posted video.
This has reduced the tolerances inside the battery box and therefore made it very challenging to cram everything together to bolt on the top.
Also in conclusion, I like the space now available between the battery box and the TIP, so I still think this is a part worth having.
That space can now be filled with a bigger TIP/SRI when the time comes.
would this fit the new 4in intake that yall came out with?
The 4 inch intake requires the 51R battery box.

What are the dimensions of the battery portion of the box/what is the biggest battery that can be put in here. Just wondering if I will be able to fit my current battery in there or if it will have to be replaced.
This box fits the OEM size battery, so anything with the standard dimensions is good.
Do the bolts line up for me to install on a Mazda 3 sedan 07??
We have not tried so we can't say forsure.

People have tried this on a gen 2 and had no issues. Should be the same mounting locations.
2008.5 Speed 3, factory hood TMIC/Batt box ducting; I noticed the batt box port is lacking on the CS box, I can only assume this isn't a concern because you haven't included it in your design. At what point should I or might I be concerned about the ventilation of the batt box? Also, looking at my engine bay with the stock(!ugh!) intake box, it looks to me like the CS batt box might be a squeeze on its own (I know, CS SRI would solve that, it's on my 2do list hehehe, 1st things 1st).

Will a 4 inch intake fit with this box or is 3.5 inch the max?
People have done it, Although 3.5" max is rec. If you want to go smaller I would advise a 51R conversion.
If installed with CS front strut tower brace, can the battery be removed without having to remove the brace?

You can fit both, but it was designed for stock sized battery.
I have 3.5" JBR intake on GTX2867R... will it fit? What if i can't get it to fit, can i return it, and if so, how much $$ to return it?
It will fit. It was designed to support large diameter intakes.
Is the battery going to crush ecu? The tie down only holds it down, not hold it back.
No it will not. The ECU should be just fine.
Will there be fitment issues with a cold air intake box?
No there will not.
Does this box make it possible to fit easily and use the Corksport 3.5" intake?

Does this require any extending of the ECU wiring? Are there any concerns with the ECU and battery getting too hot since they'll be enclosed?
It does not require making the ECU wiring longer. There are no concerns with it getting too hot as the box is vented so it can breathe.
Will you have to unplug the harnesses on top of the ecu in order to place it inside the new battery box?
Nope! All you need to do is fold the ECU over into the box.
