2021+ Mazda 3 Turbo 80mm Cat Back Exhaust System

The 80mm CBE is the ultimate exhaust for those who want the best sound and performance out of your Mazda. The tone is more aggressive than the CS 63.5mm CBE, but refined at the same time giving it the best of both worlds. Check out the sound clips below to listen to what your Mazda will sound like with the CS 80mm Cat Back Exhaust.

The 80mm cat back was optimized for the SkyActiv-G Turbo engine, but will also fit the AWD non-Turbo models if you want a louder more aggressive exhaust tone.

The CorkSport Advantage

Best Mazda 3 Turbo Cat Back 3-inch Exhaust

Optimized Sound:

The CorkSport 80mm Mazda 3 Catback Exhaust was designed specifically for the 2.5L SkyActiv-G Turbo engine as a complete cat-back with unique dual chamber resonators. Because of this, the 80mm exhaust will only be sold as a cat back.

When increasing the piping diameter, commonly more drone is created which is annoying to drive with. We developed the dual chamber resonator specifically for this engine to combat drones in both high and low frequencies.

While retaining the same unique asymmetrical axle back design; we went through multiple resonator setups and this combo proved to offer the best sound with the least drone so you can enjoy the best of both worlds while driving.

Horsepower Gains:

The Mazda 3 Cat-Back Exhaust provides improved horsepower and torque across the entire RPM range vs the OEM exhaust system when tested on a Mazda 3 Turbo model. Gains of 5-13wHP & 5-23wTQ were measured with a DynaPak chassis dyno on an otherwise stock vehicle. After installing, there is no tuning required for your Mazda. Depending on your mods, you may achieve a higher power potential.

OEM Fitment:

Fitment was a major part of the development of the CorkSport 80mm Mazda 3 Cat Back Exhaust. We went to great lengths to ensure that the fitment matched the OEM quality so the installation is spot on. We checked fitment with the stock hatch bumper, appearance kit bumper, and sedan to ensure all setups look and fit as good as the CS 80mm CBE should.

To provide great ground clearance and ample room for the drive shaft, the exhaust was tailored to fit the vehicle.

2021+ Mazda 3 Turbo 80mm Exhaust material

Materials & Manufacturing:

The CorkSport Mazd 3 80mm Cat Back Exhaust is constructed from 304 stainless steel, mandrel bent, and TIG welded. The Cat Back is then fully polished to provide a great look. We have reinforced the hangers with extra support to make sure they will withstand harsh driving conditions.

2019-2023 Mazda3 Installation Instructions for 80mm Cat Back Exhaust

Such an amazing addition to the car. Upon arrival first thing I noticed was how amazing the welds were. Was beyond excited to install. Installation was super easy with the instructions they provide. The first start up dropped my jaw. Videos do not do this exhaust justice. In person I noticed a deeper tone which made the car sound a lot more aggressive. It’s not too loud which is perfect, but when you get on it, it sounds amazing. Must buy for anyone who wants to modify their car!
Purchased this a week ago and it came in today. I'm blown away!!!! Like dang, this surpassed my expectations! Installed it in over 2 hours pretty much like the instructions said it would take. Man this thing, it's like the missing link to the car! I can't even fathom how I was driving before without it a whole year before today. Loud head turning cold starts, downshifting sounds absolutely incredible, low-mid range this thing seems to have taken off the training wheels completely and just takes off full force with the SRI amd JB4 Installed on map2 with 93oct. The drone isn't really too bad, you can't hear much of it or the exhaust while steady accelerating if you're blasting music past like volume 40 with windows up but man this thing is top notch! Quiet enough too while gently cruising and barely putting foot on pedal in a 25mph zone that a cop behind me for a mile didn't pay much attention and let me be. Just like the intake...it's very loud when you want it to be and more quiet when you want it to be mostly. Overall though the nice consistent rumble just makes the turbo feel alive. It's like these turbo 3 should have already come with this via factory. Yes, it's significantly louder than the OEM exhaust, enough to put a smile on your face and rumble your seat but not ear shattering loud that it will disrupt your daily commute or piss off neighbors. You will definitely be heard though and noticed more driving with this exhaust so keep that in mind. But anyways, 5/5 stars!!! Bravo Corksport, can't wait to buy another mod because all of them are S+ tier so far and very fun to install!!!!!!
This is a very high quality exhaust with no drone that's not too quiet or too loud. Corksport's instructions made the installation process straight forward and easy.
I installed the 80mm CBE almost a year ago (it shipped with the new midpipe hanger to help with the driveshaft issue) and it has never hit or scraped my driveshaft. I am / was impressed with the build quality and welds, and as long as you follow directions, the exhaust tips will stay on if you put em on right. I have not had any exhaust leaks, but, again, I did follow the instructions to a "T". There is no need to weld them like some people claim. The sound is great, and in my honest opinion, it is not excessively loud- but it is considerably deeper and has a certain "growl" to it with minor burbles on idle. To be fair though, I haven't heard my Turbo 3 being driven by me so all I really have to guage its loudness is cold starts and cabin noise lol.

Be warned, if you don't like noise, there is a slight drone at 70+mph, but then again, if you didn't want to hear your car then why would you get this 80mm exhaust in the first place? Other than that, there is no drone on regular roads and it's perfect for a daily driver looking for an "oem plus" feel.
Well the only bad reviews were for the drive shaft rubbing but they include an entirely new exhaust hanger bushing now so I didn't have that issue. I absolutely love it, it rattles my garage when I first start it in the morning it's so loud on start up I can't even hear the seat belt chime. Really impressed how deep and choppy it sounds especially just idling. Looks beautiful installed, sounds incredible, power gains on the top end, car doesn't even vibrate anymore when you're at a red-light in drive with your foot on the brake. If you're even remotely interested in purchasing this product I'd say just do it, no matter how I look at it this exhaust it was an upgrade in every way.
Absolutely outstanding exhaust! Has a very deep and throaty roar that only improves with time. Engine/throttle response is also greatly improved, and there's no longer a slight hesitation after getting on the throttle. Running this in conjunction with the BMS Stage 1 intake for the time being and it's definitely a nice-sounding, free-breathing combo.

For Install -
Highly recommend utilizing at least 4 jack stands, due to the Downpipe>Midpipe connection being hard to reach otherwise.

Also, while not specified in the "Tools Needed" section of the instructions, a 22mm Wrench (not Socket) is needed, in order to remove the O2 sensor. Fortunately, a neighbor was kind enough to let me borrow an adjustable wrench, and after repeated swear words and "love taps" on the area around the O2 sensor, I was able to get it off.

All in all, I highly recommend this exhaust to those that both want to increase your performance and scare the local wildlife. 10/10
Easily best sounding exhaust for the 3, very throaty exhaust tone brings a whole new life to it! Should be on everyone’s wish list or future mod list!!
Wow! I love this pipe! I had previously purchased the air intake, and subsequently the heat shield, and loved the turbo sounds released. Now there is a great sound at the rear end as well. It has a very nice tone and is very streetable without being obnoxiously loud. There is also a noticeable increase in responsiveness. It took me a little more time than the 2 hours but I'm sure that varies and I had to get a new air gun mid-stream especially to get the front exhaust bolt on the driver's side. I highly recommend this quality made exhaust system!
Cant go wrong with corksport parts
The girth the bubble butt jelly bean/egg car needs and deserves. A nice deep note with a pleasant in cabin experience (and mine is stripped out with some sound deadening) but also sounds great in a stock interior. Greatly helps the butt dyno feeling and there's little to no doubt people are going to turn heads in many types of vehicles. Compliments have come in from everything under the sun so far.

Cold starts will get attention, and parking garages are fun again. The car gains a bit of low and mid range power with the exhaust girth freeing up turbo spool removing air flow restrictions on our tiny turbo.

The added downpipe once available to the public just makes every aspect even better, giving the car a MEAN growl.
