Not a bad product. Looks great. Easy to install with the included instructions.

After taking out the stock resonator it adds a little nice throaty sound to the engine. Power gains not super noticeable. Mazda is about feel however, and it does feel a little more sporty.

It's kinda like when you were a kid and you could play with basic fire works unsupervised. It's fun and gives you a cheap smile but it's nothing dangerous.

Gas mileage (w/ manual) from daily driving has gone from 34mpg to 34.5mpg over one month. (According to the dash)

Quite literally the most fun I've had in YEARS doing a modification! I installed my short ram intake kit on a 2014 Mazda 3i Sport, automatic. Wanted a better intake sound to feed my ailing hotrod ego. BINGO! A forty-five minute installation just being lazy and taking my time. Super easy to install, and it looks great. Can definitely hear a difference and getting rid of the monstrous amount of OEM airbox plastic was a nice plus.

I am really happy with my short ram intake! After selling my fully bolted Speed6 and buying my 2014 Mazda3, I missed the sound of my old car. Sure, I wasn't going to be able to get anywhere near the same power out of my Mazda3, but it's nice to roll down the window on a twisty road and hear the intake snarl.

I got Corksport's air box to go along with the intake to feed fresh outside air to my engine and protect the filter from salt and grime, and I can still hear the engine well. One thing to note is you may hear a "gurgling" sound the odd time after installing the intake, but this is normal and not a sign of a problem.

I highly recommend getting a spare filter to quicken filter swaps, and i plan on getting a K&N Drycharger to prevent rain or road spray from getting to the filter.

Extremely easy to install. I love the sound from under the hood now it really compliments the CS axel back exhaust on the hatchback. I haven't had any problems with hot engine air causing any problems and I live in Tennessee and it's summer.

Works great, still fits with leaving bottom of the OEM intake in for a cold air source and doubles as a water shield to keep it dry. Easy Install, Really lets you hear the headers over OEM!

Hello,

I've had your intake installed for about a couple of months now and it did indeed throw my CEL. I tried to just regularly clear the error codes but it came on again in a couple of days.

I took my Mazda in to a professional shop and they tried to diagnose the problem and reset/clear the error codes and it still came back on after another few days.

Apparently the error codes I am receiving are P0101 and P0172 BANK 1 for the circuit/range performance being out of sync and causing my engine to run too rich. (It was bogging or stalling a little in low gears)

They suggested to reinstall the OEM intake to see if the ECU would remain cleared and the light to stay off and it actually worked.

I'm just wondering if you heard of this happening before?

I've had this for quite a while now and the growling sound during the winter months really had me smiling everyday but now that the sun is out I started to smell burning rubber around the engine. Same goes when I drive at night. I've isolated the smell and it seems to be coming from the rubber part of the SRI. Anyone has this problem?

I am concerned about the heat buildup under the hood as I live in Phoenix and summer temps can hit 110+ easily! Engine breathing hotter air actually lowers horepower and efficiency.. Would you still recommend this product.
