We have pushed past the challenges faced in manufacturing the complex design, and are proud to announce that we are ready to present you with the most complete solution for the Mazdaspeed 3 and Mazdaspeed 6 platform.<\/strong> Introducing the <a href=\"https:\/\/corksport.com\/mazdaspeed-3-intake-manifold.html\" title=\"\">Mazdaspeed Intake Manifold<\/a>!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/\/corksport.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/MS3-Intake-Manifold-Driver-Angle-1.jpg\" alt=\"Intake Manifold for the Mazdaspeed 3\/6\" class=\"wp-image-9154\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The CorkSport Intake Manifold is here for those of us who want some more flow in our lives.<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Our design focuses on performance without sacrificing OEM fitment or drivability.<\/strong> With equal flowing runners, higher flow than OE, and TMIC fitment, it truly is a complete solution to the OE intake manifold.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/\/corksport.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/Mazdaspeed-3-Intake-Manifold-Engine-Close-1.jpg\" alt=\"Close up shot of the CorkSport Intake Manifold installed on the Mazdaspeed engine.\" class=\"wp-image-9155\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Fitment is huge when it comes down to large engine components like intake manifolds. <strong>While designing the CorkSport IM, we wanted to retain as many OE features and mounting locations as possible while maintaining neat and tidy packaging.<\/strong> By doing so, we were able to keep components such as the <a href=\"https:\/\/corksport.com\/mazdaspeed-3-top-mount-intercooler.html\" title=\"\">TMIC<\/a>, OEM throttle body, <a href=\"https:\/\/corksport.com\/mazdaspeed-3.5-bar-map-sensor-pnp.html\" title=\"\">MAP Sensor<\/a>, and even the oil dipstick bracket in OE locations. <strong>This all means a relatively quick and easy part to install, but we made it even easier by clearing some space around hard-to-reach areas.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The CorkSport Intake Manifold may fit like OE, but that\u2019s where the similarities end.<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The CorkSport Mazdaspeed Intake Manifold is designed with performance and drive-ability in mind<\/strong>, with the larger plenum design and long cylinder runners. Since the intake plenum is about three times larger than OE, <strong>there is an increase in high RPM power capacity without sacrificing throttle response and drivability.<\/strong> By maintaining the length of the cylinder runners (vs the typical aftermarket intake manifold), <strong>we improved mid-range power while still having peak RPM capacity with the single runner design vs. an OE split runner design.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/\/corksport.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/Mazdaspeed-Intake-Manifold-Runner-Outlet.jpg\" alt=\"Mazdaspeed Intake Manifold  with larger plenum design\" class=\"wp-image-9131\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h1 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The increase in performance also comes with an increase in engine health.<\/h1>\n\n\n\n<p>By optimizing the design for equal flow between runners, <strong>the CorkSport IM eliminates the flow imbalance of the OE intake manifold.<\/strong> This significant imbalance causes cylinders to run excessively lean or rich, affecting engine durability and performance. Check out the graph below to see the difference. <strong>Not only does the CorkSport Intake Manifold outflow the OE design by 70CFM per runner on average but also significantly reduces the flow imbalance to 2% or less vs the OE imbalance of 21%. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">This means your engine can run stronger, longer, and have a higher potential to make power.<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/\/corksport.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/AXL-6-441-Flowbench-Testing2.png\" alt=\"CFM Bar Graph for the CorkSport Mazdaspeed Intake Manifold\" class=\"wp-image-9146\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>But enough talk about numbers and flow, let\u2019s SEE some numbers.<\/strong> The dyno graph below shows the difference before and after the CS IM on a <a href=\"https:\/\/corksport.com\/mazdaspeed-3\/2010-2013-mazdaspeed-3\/all-2010-2013-mazdaspeed-3-parts\/\" title=\"\">Mazdaspeed3<\/a> with a CorkSport TD05H-18G turbo equipped. <strong>Not only was there an increase in power and torque across the entire RPM range, but the <a href=\"https:\/\/corksport.com\/mazdaspeed-3-turbocharger-upgrade.html\" title=\"\">turbo<\/a> also spooled around 100RPM faster than with the OE intake manifold.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1063\" height=\"510\" src=\"\/\/corksport.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/2017-09-12-CorkSport-IM-vs-OE.jpg\" alt=\"Dynograph testing for the Mazdaspeed Intake Manifold\" class=\"wp-image-9130\" srcset=\"https:\/\/corksport.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/2017-09-12-CorkSport-IM-vs-OE.jpg 1063w, https:\/\/corksport.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/2017-09-12-CorkSport-IM-vs-OE-300x144.jpg 300w, https:\/\/corksport.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/2017-09-12-CorkSport-IM-vs-OE-768x368.jpg 768w, https:\/\/corksport.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/2017-09-12-CorkSport-IM-vs-OE-1024x491.jpg 1024w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 767px) 89vw, (max-width: 1000px) 54vw, (max-width: 1071px) 543px, 580px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">But wait there\u2019s more! Along with the overall design improvement over OE; there are additional design features that you need to know about.<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Firstly, we increased the size of the throttle body opening.<\/strong> This allows the OE throttle body to work great but also <strong>allows for a larger <a href=\"https:\/\/corksport.com\/performance-throttle-body-for-2006-2013-mazdaspeed.html\" title=\"\">throttle body<\/a> to be installed without modification.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Next,<\/strong> there are added fueling ports for each runner. They are standard 1\/8-27 NPT ports that can be used with methanol nozzles or other fueling options.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Finally<\/strong>,<strong> there is an extra 1\/8-27 NPT port<\/strong> that can be used for <a href=\"https:\/\/corksport.com\/mazdaspeed-boost-control-solenoid.html\" title=\"\">boost controllers<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/corksport.com\/mazdaspeed-boost-gauge.html\" title=\"\">gauges<\/a>, or the like.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/\/corksport.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/MS3-Intake-Manifold-Front.jpg\" alt=\"Mazdaspeed intake manifold \" class=\"wp-image-9138\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Now you may be thinking, But there aren&#8217;t any <a href=\"https:\/\/corksport.com\/blog\/the-first-and-only-performance-mazdaspeed-throttle-body-with-no-sacrifices\/\" title=\"The First and Only Performance Mazdaspeed Throttle Body with NO Sacrifices\">larger throttle bodies<\/a> available.
