We are excited to announce that the CorkSport Mazda 3 80mm Cat Back Exhaust<\/a> is ready for your AWD 2021+ Mazda 3 Turbo and CX-30. We have gone through multiple iterations of the CBE during its development to ensure it meets all of our requirements. The CS 80mm CBE replaces your factory mid-pipe and muffler section to provide extra sound and power from your Mazda. The large 80mm diameter pipe adds a deep and refined tone, and a more aggressive note once it reaches the RPM range.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Designing the 80mm Cat Back Exhaust<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The main goal of the 80mm Mazda 3 exhaust<\/a> was to free up the 2.5L Turbo engine and eliminate the large restrictions that are present in the factory exhaust. This restriction was first taken care of by the obvious increase in the exhaust diameter, going from ~61mm to 80mm which is a gain of over 70% in cross-sectional area. The next step taken was to remove the factory resonator found in the mid pipe. The OEM design was replaced with a flow-through dual chamber design that provides great drone reduction while minimizing the impact on flow characteristics. Another resonator of the same layout is located in the axle back section to further decrease drone levels while refining the exhaust note. When put all together the increased pipe diameter and high flow resonators give the Mazda 3 Turbo the sound we all wished it came with from the factory.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Quality OEM Fitment & Installation <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Installation and fitment of the CorkSport Mazda 3 80mm Cat Back Exhaust<\/a> is another area that we focused heavily on to ensure a quality experience. The exhaust sections started with the OEM counterparts and were then adjusted to fit the larger diameter pipe, so no exhaust rattles or interference issues with other components occur. For the larger axle back section, we retained all four hanger locations to make sure that the exhaust stays in position and isn\u2019t allowed to move around too much during hard driving.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Style That Matches the Sound<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Our approach was the same as the CS Mazda 3 63.5mm exhaust<\/a>. All of the tips are 100mm in diameter, including the CX-30 exhaust<\/a>, and are designed to match the Mazda model you own.  For those that have a hatchback with the appearance kit, the tips are longer to account for the larger bumper and fill out the cutouts better.  The larger design provides a style for your Mazda that matches the sound of your car. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Quality Materials & Production<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

We have kept the same great construction of previous CS exhausts which utilize 304 stainless steel, is mandrel bent, and TIG welded. This gives the CS 80mm Mazda 3 Cat Back Exhaust excellent corrosion resistance that will hold up in harsh environments. The exhaust hangers also feature extra bracing to ensure they remain secure during hard driving. The Mazda 3 turbo exhaust<\/a> is polished to a mirror-like finish and includes all the necessary hardware to make the installation trouble-free.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
