XClutch Mazdaspeed 3 and Mazdaspeed 6 Performance Clutch Kits
Description
The MazdaSpeed 3 and Mazdaspeed 6 have proven to be an excellent all-rounder performance car and daily driver. With many tuning groups specialising in gaining increased power and torque from the 2.3L turbocharged engine, these vehicles often require upgraded clutches to handle the increased performance gained. XClutch offer a range of 9” and 9.5” performance upgrades for both the street and track.
Street:
Stage 1 features a lightweight alloy cover, 9.5” single sprung organic disc, performance flywheel, release bearing, replacement bolts, pilot bush and alignment tool. The peak torque capacity for the stage 1 clutch is 440ft/lbs. It is designed for street use Mazdaspeed 3s and Mazdaspeed 6s with bolt on modifications.
Street Plus:
The 9" Street Twin Disc clutch features a lightweight alloy cover, 9” twin solid organic discs, performance flywheel, release bearing, replacement bolts, pilot bush and alignment tool. The peak torque capacity for the stage 1 clutch is 890ft/lbs. It is designed for street use Mazdaspeeds with Big turbos, PI, built motors, etc.
Race:
The 9" Twin Ceramic Rigid Disc clutch features a lightweight alloy cover, 9” twin solid ceramic discs, performance flywheel, release bearing, replacement bolts, pilot bush and alignment tool. The peak torque capacity for the 9.0" Twin Ceramic Disc clutch is 1350ft/lbs. It is designed for race vehicles or extreme street vehicles with built engines, big turbos, and drag racing applications.

- Performance Clutches can engage harsher, require other upgraded parts, and show weaknesses in your drive train which the stock clutch did not point out. Any of the X Clutch options will increase transmission noise along with other sounds from the engine with the replacement of the stock dual mass flywheel which is included in the kit.

It broke down after 18 months. Claiming a refund is painful and time-consuming, requiring many calls and paperwork. On top of that, consider the extra cost and time incurred by installing and uninstalling the defective unit.

Been driving on this clutch for about a month now and its feeling better every time i drive it, the reason ill give it a 4 stars is because of noise at idle and a bit on deceleration. Overall the clutch was easy to install, everything you need in the kit is there, except a bit of threadlocker, feels exactly like stock once worked in. I would consider buying it again depending how long i get out of it. Its a really nice clutch. I have a gen 1 speed 3 and everything is working well.

Got the StreetPlus Kit only because I wanted a little bit better than OE. I will say be prepared for the aggressive grab but overall feels wonderful.! There is a TSB for the dual clutch disc kits saying they make noise with the pedal depressed however, it is normal. Don't forget to do rear main if you install any kit.!
