Description

Track tested and racer approved, the CorkSport Lower Tie Bar is designed to add rigidity to the front suspension sub-frame. By connecting the inboard pivot points for the front lower control arms, the lower tie bar adds opposing strength to the sub-frame that helps reduce wheel hop and torque steer. In the opposite manner, the lower tie bar also helps improve braking performance. #ZoomZoom!

Installed the lower tie bar from corksport in less than 15 minutes! Super easy install and a good quality part. I’ve heard plenty of good things about this upgrade but had to test it out myself. I wasn’t so sure that a simple metal bar across the bottom of the car would make much of a difference but boy was I wrong! I got to take the car to the track a few days later and was blown away by how flat and stable the car felt around the corners and powering out of them. I would absolutely recommend this to someone as an easy first install or someone who has a heavily modified speed3!

I swapped out another company’s lower tie bar for this one and it’s been great! The CS bar is much beefier than the old one I had and way more solid being bent tubed metal vs. welded rectangle stock that was half as thick. Fitment is also tighter to the subframe/engine so it doesn’t hang as low with a lowered car. Still plenty of space for oil changes and wastegate tubes though! Longest part of the install was removing the bolts for the old tie bar but this CS bar is great since you don’t have to remove a single bolt to install it! It made my car stiffer and keeps wheel hop to nothing making over 600hp with drag radials. Amazing product and highly recommend for anyone wanting a stiffer chassis and more traction.

If you are trying to go for higher horsepower like me but don’t necessarily want to install a widebody and beefier tires… this is a good solution. Install was smooth and painless (like 99% of CorkSport products always are) and instructions were easy to follow. On my first test drive I could NOT stop smiling. Torque steer, what torque steer? With stickier tires (like my Pilot sport 4s) and this tie bar, wheel hop has become a thing of the past as well. Highly recommend this investment if you are tired of wheel hop and torque steer like I was! Also check out the front and rear sway bars for further stability and handling!

Installed this on my 2008 Mazda3 5MT with virtually zero issues. Not having a turbo, I don't have the issue of torque steer, however this completely eliminated wheel hop, keeps the front end more planted over bumps and feels like it shifts slightly smoother also. Extremely happy with the purchase, can't wait to autocross it! Every Mazda 3 and MS3 really needs to have this brace! Corksport, list this under the regular 3 listings also!

Great product as expected. Only complaint, is that it does not work with my HTP under route FMIC piping. I liked how the car felt for the short time it was on. Now I just need to re-route a couple intercooler pipes to run both. I still think it is 5 Star worthy.

Perfect fit, way to follow directions and it does what it says. Cab launches better now and less lean through corners which allows the tires to hook up much better

JAMES KIRK

Eliminated all traces of wheel hop. Had done after coilovers, all motor mounts, & Anti-Lift Kit, but any traces of remaining hop were completely eliminated. Whether this is your first upgrade or your last, it will help!

Hello everyone from Havana Cuba. I must say i am lucky down here. I am the only owner of a gen 1 2007 Mazda 3 hatchback i have the car for almost 9 years now... Involved also in a soul crossover as i call my project Turning it in a Gen 1 Speed 3. Step by step... I got the Corksport lower tie bar, thanks to a friend of mine that help me buying it and take it down here to this crazy eternal summer almost stoped in time. I have installed the thing and i must say: It's an incredible leap forward on feeling and handling performance. Also shifting is a LOT better and easier. Like night to day since i have 6 speed gear already installed..A more sharper and acurate action on the gear selector and even shorter shift distance mostly from 2 to 3rd and 4 gear, (no short shifter installed yet) All this with the stock speed3 shifter ..So bad i am so far. But all my effort in to keep my eyes on Corksport stuff to incorporate in my built... Thanks very much. Warm regards from Havana. Nice job on the bar..✌

Install was a snap. Fit perfectly under my CS skidplate.

After install, ride quality is greatly improved. Turn-in is sharp, torque steer is reduced, front end "slop" is at a minimum. Fantastic addition. At this point I've got mid-chassis bracing, sub-frame bracing, and a solid RMM. This was the last thing I needed to really tighten things up. Install this part and upgrade your sway bar bushings and end-links, your on-road stability will be at a maximum.
