Description
a. Get maximum turbo performance and dramatically increase power and torque with the CorkSport Mazdaspeed 3 “Modular Series” 3 Inch Downpipe. The new V2 design uses our modular system to improve flow, enhance fitment and make installation simpler in your MS3 engine bay. The design utilizes a cast stainless steel bell mouth with a v-band connection to 3” stainless steel piping. Available with fitment options for an upgraded 3-inch/80mm exhaust or fitment with a stock/2.5” exhaust. Plus, it fits all years of MS3! Check out more information and pictures down below!
The CorkSport Advantage
Performance Focused:
The CorkSport V2 Downpipe drastically improves exhaust flow compared to the restrictive OEM downpipe. This results in gains of up to 50whp & wtq on a stock turbo car with an intake, HPFP upgrade, and a tune. Even larger gains could be expected for cars with an upgraded turbo!
Fitment Inspired:
Knowing the installation can be a huge pain when upgrading your downpipe, we aimed to make installation and fitment much easier with the V2 design. The modular design with a separate cast bell mouth and v-band connected pipe section does just that.
With the 2-piece upper and lower sections of the downpipe, all downpipe nuts are now easier to access as you do not have the lower section in the way while tightening. This allowed for easy stud & nut access as well with cutouts designed to fit sockets & wrenches. Lastly, should you ever need to remove the downpipe or turbo for maintenance, the bellmouth portion can stay attached to the turbo! Just disconnect the v-band clamp and remove the lower DP section from the exhaust.
Exhaust Fitment Options:
The CorkSport V2 Downpipe is designed to fit an upgraded 3” or 80mm exhaust for no flow restrictions. If you want a more sleeper build, there is also an option that necks down slightly to work with OEM and 2.5” diameter exhausts. Both options will require your catback to use the OEM-sized flange with the donut-style connection for an easy installation with your existing pipes. Both sizes are offered only in a catted setup that is for race use only and is not street-legal in areas with emission controls. The cat itself is a high-flow 3-way metallic foil 300cel CAT with a 4-inch outer diameter.
Materials & Manufacturing:
At the turbo side, the CorkSport modular downpipe uses a cast 304 stainless steel bellmouth for strength, reliability & simplicity. The piping uses a CNC machined V-band flange TIG welded to mandrel bent 304 stainless piping. CNC machining ensures a leak-free seal, TIG welds ensure high strength, and mandrel bends ensure smooth exhaust flow.
Hardware and Accessories:
Included with your modular 3” downpipe is everything needed for installation. This includes a stainless v-band clamp for the bellmouth to DP connection, brand new downpipe mounting studs & lock nuts, and even an O2 sensor harness extension. The thing we’re most proud of is our custom MLS downpipe gasket included with each kit. We port-matched it to the DP bellmouth & CST6 to ensure no flow restrictions whatsoever! NOTE: if you order the OEM-sized outlet option, we recommend you purchase a new donut gasket, as it is not provided. 3” sized outlets include a new donut gasket to suit the larger pipe diameter.
- For off-road & race use only.
- Tuning required for proper and safe operation.
- A check engine light (CEL) will be illuminated on catless and some catted setups as a result of installation.
- Take note of your catback exhaust size before ordering. There is a different downpipe whether you have a 3inch/80mm exhaust or an OEM/2.5” exhaust.
- AXL-6-114-18 Fits Cat-Back Exhausts like the CS 80mm and other 3” exhausts that use the OEM style flange.
- Only fits on turbochargers with OEM downpipe flange shape.
- If you have a CS turbo and are running an EWG off the turbine housing, the wastegate will need to be moved to the turbine housing directly and a new dump tube used. CS part number GEN-6-575-17 is needed and it is available for purchase HERE.

Awesome dp. Just be ready for a lot of cussing getting the stock dp out. What a pain in the a$$.. installing the corksport dp was a cinch after that. Took me half a day just to pull the stock dp. Took about 1 hour to install cs dp.

awesome product... the install is annoying but get a buddy and the time really flies by... only issue i had was it seemed the instruction weren't all there, theres a change between the online one and the one mailed to me so i had to switch between the too overall though, super happy with the exhaust, now just need to finish my bolt ons and get retuned and i'll be more than happy with my red beast

Corksport, I have just finished my full Corksport turboback exhaust. Is there any danger to my car being that I do not yet have a Cobb accessport to monitor my engine? I already installed the Corksport fuel pump upgrade and my other mod is the Corksport SRI. I plan on getting the AP as soon as possible. Thanks!

Hey corksport this might be a dumb question but something in the description make it sound like the race pipe comes with the down pipe if I get the downpipe without the cat, is that right or do I need to but the race pipe separate? And you guys got 5 stars because I love the Intake and the instructions were SUPER SIMPLE!

Don't be afraid of this install...I had read how terrible it was, but it wasn't TOO terrible. It's definitely an install that requires a little patience, but it didn't take as long as I expected. Spencer at CS told me the hardest part was taking the stock DP out...he was correct. The CS DP goes in so easy...I used crow's feet with my torque wrench to tighten the bottom bolts, but other than that, I followed CS's great instructions.

If I have your Corksport race pipe, does the high flow cat option get rid of the race pipe or does it hook right up?

Just installed this along with the CBE. I love it. It's like my car was sleeping and this came along and slapped it in the face and told it to get moving.

Hey corksport, I would like to install the catted down-pipe on my MS3. I understand I need to upgrade the fuel pump internals with this pipe but I don't have know of any tuning shops in my area. Im in chester county Pa. Any recommendations? Also what intake would you recommend that I could use all year round including winter? Thank you!!!
