The CorkSport Camber Plates for both the 4th GEN Mazda 3 and CX-30 are designed as a direct replacement for the stock strut top. This means that there is no need for cutting the top of the strut tower to access the camber plate like previous generations required. This makes adjustment and installation a lot simpler and reversible if you ever want to remove them in the future. The CS Camber Plates also feature a pillow-ball bearing that replaces the compliant rubber found in the factory strut top. This reduces the amount of deflection in the strut and leads to improved handling and more feedback for the driver.
Camber Adjustable:
The CS Camber Plates offer camber adjustment ranging from -2.4 to +0.9 on the Mazda3. This additional camber gained from the camber plates can help improve the handling of your Mazda either on the street or on the track and can be fine-tuned to your style of driving. Materials & Hardware:
The top plate of the CS Camber Plates are CNC machined out of 6061-T6 aluminum. This helps reduce weight while still providing the necessary strength needed to mount the camber plate to the strut tower. The bottom plate is made out of steel to ensure the pillow ball bearing is properly retained during demanding driving conditions. All the necessary hardware is also included to make sure installation of the camber plates is straightforward, so you can get back on the road as soon as possible.
- Installation of the CorkSport Camber plates will raise the front of your Mazda approximately 7mm or 1/4in. This is due to the increased thickness of the camber plate vs the OEM top hat.
- Use of an air impact may be required for installation. Before air impact use, set the air pressure to 60-80psi.
- Extreme negative camber will move the spring and strut closer to the chassis, interference is possible.
- Adjusting camber will affect the vehicle alignment, a professional alignment post-install is required.
- Increased NVH (noise, vibration, harshness) may occur with the use of camber plates.
