My god, the installation, specifically getting the side-action spring back in place, is an exercise in PATIENCE. But holy s*** what a change this thing makes. Paired with the weighted shift knob, it totally changes the feel of driving these fun little cars around. As others have said, add the bushing kit, since you're in there anyway. Mine were pretty trashed, and this whole set of upgrades made this wonderful little car feel tight, quick, and a whole lot more fun to drive, even better than when it was new. A solid, well-made, quality product. Well worth the time and money.

Got my short throw shifter today, broke the clip on the instructions it warns you about lmao it was just super hard to get off, I suggest adding the clip to this when you order the short throw shifter.

Works great in my 2012 Skyactiv combined with the CS bushings. Shifts feel very nice with a heavy shift knob. Keep in mind the stick is not bent, so this will be on center in the car but visibly to the right side of the 'leather' shift boot. This means it will be stretched tight in 5th if you have the knob up much higher than stock (in a skyactiv). Also steps 5c-h are very difficult to do as the bottom of the page hints, but there's nothing CS could have done about that. 4 strong hands would help. The bushings are definitely worth adding while you're down in there anyway. Final result is great, very adjustable, and the rightward positioning gets natural quickly, especially if you're large enough that your arm is farther out anyways. Comes with full color directions that are about as clear as they can be. You can set the shifter lower or comically high if you want, feels good either way. Doesn't get rid of much side to side slop within each gear because this part can't do that, only stiffening that pesky spring from step 5 can. Everything else is great though, more of a positive but slick mechanical feel. Best when paired with a very heavy shift knob, CS shift bushings, and lightweight crankshaft pulley for dramatic effect when heel-toe downshifting. Buy it.

Hands down, must have product. This short shifter really surprised me. First impression, quality workmanship, quality materials, and one of the best step-by-step install instructions I've ever received. Install, if you take one thing from this review, let it be HAVE PATIENCE, but install can't be blamed on CS! After driving, throw is as short as possible while maintaining proper shifting. Honestly a night and day difference while shifting. The shifter itself is not angled to the driver with this short shifter so it sits more to the right, but after 1 trip driving it you won't even notice. Adjustability is absolutely fantastic, if you get this and can't find a comfortable set up, you need to buy an automatic. Highly recommend this product. P.S. Pairs fantastically with the shifter bushings from CS for a superior shifting experience.

Installed last night, set the throw for the shortest available (2013 Skyactiv), and as low as it would go. The shifter can go lower, but was bottoming out when shifting into reverse. The instructions cover that point, your mileage may vary. Installed the shifter bushings from Corksport at the same time. Shifting is much more precise, no slop whatsoever. I may raise the shifter about 1/2" as my hand hits the inside of the square the boot attaches to when shifting into reverse. Been awhile, but I would say that shifting is very similar to the 10th AE Miata I owned. Well worth it.

Just recieved mine in the mail today for my 2012 M3 Skyactiv and i love it, it took me a little longer to put it in than it would most ppl an hr and a half adjusting and everything but it was well worth it. Shifting is awesome, short, and very precise thanks CorkSport!!!!!

Havent bought this yet.... But if i already have the short shift plate will this still make any difference? Will i have ultra short shifts?
