When cornering in your Mazda CX-30, the forces from the tires need to be counteracted by the suspension and chassis. However, the front subframe can flex under these forces, affecting handling. The CorkSport Lower Tie Bar addresses this by connecting the left and right control arm mounting points, reinforcing the front subframe. This enhancement reduces flex, providing the handling improvements you crave!

The CorkSport Lower Tie Bar is designed to enhance the handling and responsiveness of your Mazda CX-30's front suspension. By increasing chassis stiffness, it allows the suspension components and tires to perform optimally.

Our testing revealed several benefits: a tighter steering feel, reduced bump steer, and more responsive cornering, making it perfect for spirited back-road driving and those looking for better handling. For higher CX-30 turbo models, the lower tie bar also helps eliminate wheel hop and torque steer during launches and hard acceleration. Additionally, you'll notice a slight improvement in braking feel and performance!

Strength Testing:

Given the complexity of the Mazda CX-30's undercarriage, we had to incorporate some bends into the CorkSport Lower Tie Bar. While a straight bar would be inherently stronger, the bends were necessary to clear factory components.

Despite its curved design, the CS Lower Tie Bar is built to handle whatever you throw at it! To ensure its strength, we used FEA software to simulate a sustained 1 g-force corner. The results showed that the bar can withstand these forces without any issues, even in our "worst-case scenario" simulation.

In reality, the tie bar only experiences a portion of the forces, as the tire force is distributed throughout the suspension, subframe, and chassis. Rest assured, the CorkSport Lower Tie Bar is more than capable of enhancing your Mazda CX-30's performance.
