The 80mm CBE is the ultimate exhaust for those who want the best sound and performance out of your Mazda. The tone is more aggressive than the CS 63.5mm CBE, but refined at the same time giving it the best of both worlds. Check out the sound clips below to listen to what your Mazda will sound like with the CS 80mm Cat Back Exhaust.

The 80mm cat back was optimized for the SkyActiv-G Turbo engine, but will also fit the AWD non-Turbo models if you want a louder more aggressive exhaust tone.

The CorkSport Advantage

Optimized Sound:

The CorkSport 80mm Mazda 3 Catback Exhaust was designed specifically for the 2.5L SkyActiv-G Turbo engine as a complete cat-back with unique dual chamber resonators. Because of this, the 80mm exhaust will only be sold as a cat back.

When increasing the piping diameter, commonly more drone is created which is annoying to drive with. We developed the dual chamber resonator specifically for this engine to combat drones in both high and low frequencies.

While retaining the same unique asymmetrical axle back design; we went through multiple resonator setups and this combo proved to offer the best sound with the least drone so you can enjoy the best of both worlds while driving.

Horsepower Gains:

The Mazda 3 Cat-Back Exhaust provides improved horsepower and torque across the entire RPM range vs the OEM exhaust system when tested on a Mazda 3 Turbo model. Gains of 5-13wHP & 5-23wTQ were measured with a DynaPak chassis dyno on an otherwise stock vehicle. After installing, there is no tuning required for your Mazda. Depending on your mods, you may achieve a higher power potential.

OEM Fitment:

Fitment was a major part of the development of the CorkSport 80mm Mazda 3 Cat Back Exhaust. We went to great lengths to ensure that the fitment matched the OEM quality so the installation is spot on. We checked fitment with the stock hatch bumper, appearance kit bumper, and sedan to ensure all setups look and fit as good as the CS 80mm CBE should.

To provide great ground clearance and ample room for the drive shaft, the exhaust was tailored to fit the vehicle.

Materials & Manufacturing:

The CorkSport Mazd 3 80mm Cat Back Exhaust is constructed from 304 stainless steel, mandrel bent, and TIG welded. The Cat Back is then fully polished to provide a great look. We have reinforced the hangers with extra support to make sure they will withstand harsh driving conditions.

Complete Install

Included with each exhaust is all of the necessary hardware and gaskets so the installation can be completed quickly without any interruptions.

  • NVH (noise, vibration, and harshness) in the cabin of your vehicle will be increased by the installation of this exhaust. We highly recommend you view the above video (coming soon) to hear the exhaust note inside and outside the vehicle.
  • NOTE: There is no option for FWD fitment at this time.
  • Sound was optimized for turbo models, installation on a non-turbo AWD model may result in drone and/or overly loud exhaust note.
  • Non-Turbo AWD models equipped with cylinder deactivation will need to purchase the cylinder deactivation bracket from CorkSport separately. Call us to order (360) 260-2675
  • Sold as a Cat-Back Exhaust only, will NOT be sold as an Axle-Back Exhaust or Mid-Pipes Exhaust.

Extremely high quality setup and provides a low burble on cold start and pulling away from stop lights. Some days I wish it was a little louder but then the wifey wouldn't like it. There is some drone like all aftermarket exhausts but at 60-70 mph it's very minimal. Great setup for a daily and won't wear you out on long drives. Removal of the OEM setup is not fun, make sure you have a breaker bar for the cat back and downpipe bolts. Hangers lined up perfectly with no adjustment needed on my 23 turbo. Ensure the bolts are tight, it will throw a code if they aren't.

We have this exhaust on our 2021 Mazda 3 2.5 NA, paired with CS Beta header. The way this sounds with it is incredible, almost exotic sounding, Not all raspy. The quality of this exhaust is also very demure. very mindful. beautiful welds, stainless steel, you couldn't ask for more. New hardware and gaskets provided, and the option of different fitment makes it a plus as well!

This exhaust, combined with the Short Ram intake and larger inlet pipe, totally changes the attitude of the Mazda 3 Turbo in the best possible way! The best part is that it is not obnoxious like a lot of the 4-cyl "crap"-box cars that plague your side street at 2am, it sounds brilliant with a deep growl and is totally quiet when at idle. When you want it to be loud and put your foot down, it sounds amazing through the whole power band and absolutely brings life to this sporty hatchback like it should have had from the factory! Regarding Driveshaft Clearance: I ordered the exhaust in July and did not receive the extended exhaust hanger for the midpipe so I assume they have done a design revision on the exhaust to lower it sufficiently, reducing the chances of rubbing against the drive shaft as reported by other customers. When I installed it, the gap is only about enough to squeeze your index finger in between which was concerning but I followed the instructions closely and to date, I have not encountered any contact between the exhaust and the drive shaft. I will update the review if that changes. Considerations: The combination of this exhaust and the SRI+TIP really rides the edge of what the factory ECU tune can tolerate. At times the throttle performance of the engine seems sketchy so an after-market tune is probably something that I will need to do. It's absolutely fine for now and regular driving but especially here in Colorado, I can tell the engine struggles at times to know how to balance the air/fuel mixture. The cold-start exhaust is definitely loud so I find myself parking far away from my apartment to not piss-off my neighbors when leaving for work in the morning. If you live in a place where you have to park right in front of peoples' places, you are going to make some enemies.

Amazing sound, easy install, looks great. Wish I could put two of them on my car.

got this installed over the weekend with the intake from corksport.. very happy with the sound this has unleashed especially with the turbo.. def accelerates a bit stronger than before .. however, driver side exhaust hanger seems to be a quarter to a half inch too short as its almost resting against my bumper.. however the passenger side is perfectly flush.. is this a common thing for other guys with this exhaust for the sedan?

Just finished install on my sons 21, it now sounds like it should! Perfect tone, not to loud, just loud enough you know a sports car is nearby!! Quality workmanship and build, 2hr install was about right!! Woke this little car up great!!

Such an amazing addition to the car. Upon arrival first thing I noticed was how amazing the welds were. Was beyond excited to install. Installation was super easy with the instructions they provide. The first start up dropped my jaw. Videos do not do this exhaust justice. In person I noticed a deeper tone which made the car sound a lot more aggressive. It’s not too loud which is perfect, but when you get on it, it sounds amazing. Must buy for anyone who wants to modify their car!

Purchased this a week ago and it came in today. I'm blown away!!!! Like dang, this surpassed my expectations! Installed it in over 2 hours pretty much like the instructions said it would take. Man this thing, it's like the missing link to the car! I can't even fathom how I was driving before without it a whole year before today. Loud head turning cold starts, downshifting sounds absolutely incredible, low-mid range this thing seems to have taken off the training wheels completely and just takes off full force with the SRI amd JB4 Installed on map2 with 93oct. The drone isn't really too bad, you can't hear much of it or the exhaust while steady accelerating if you're blasting music past like volume 40 with windows up but man this thing is top notch! Quiet enough too while gently cruising and barely putting foot on pedal in a 25mph zone that a cop behind me for a mile didn't pay much attention and let me be. Just like the intake...it's very loud when you want it to be and more quiet when you want it to be mostly. Overall though the nice consistent rumble just makes the turbo feel alive. It's like these turbo 3 should have already come with this via factory. Yes, it's significantly louder than the OEM exhaust, enough to put a smile on your face and rumble your seat but not ear shattering loud that it will disrupt your daily commute or piss off neighbors. You will definitely be heard though and noticed more driving with this exhaust so keep that in mind. But anyways, 5/5 stars!!! Bravo Corksport, can't wait to buy another mod because all of them are S+ tier so far and very fun to install!!!!!!

This is a very high quality exhaust with no drone that's not too quiet or too loud. Corksport's instructions made the installation process straight forward and easy.

I installed the 80mm CBE almost a year ago (it shipped with the new midpipe hanger to help with the driveshaft issue) and it has never hit or scraped my driveshaft. I am / was impressed with the build quality and welds, and as long as you follow directions, the exhaust tips will stay on if you put em on right. I have not had any exhaust leaks, but, again, I did follow the instructions to a "T". There is no need to weld them like some people claim. The sound is great, and in my honest opinion, it is not excessively loud- but it is considerably deeper and has a certain "growl" to it with minor burbles on idle. To be fair though, I haven't heard my Turbo 3 being driven by me so all I really have to guage its loudness is cold starts and cabin noise lol. Be warned, if you don't like noise, there is a slight drone at 70+mph, but then again, if you didn't want to hear your car then why would you get this 80mm exhaust in the first place? Other than that, there is no drone on regular roads and it's perfect for a daily driver looking for an "oem plus" feel.
