2014-2018 Mazda 3 2.0 SkyActiv Power Series Short Ram Intake
Description
Mazda3 Performance Air Intake.
If you want a simple modification that increases your power, and can improve gas mileage; the CorkSport Mazda3 SRI is for you. With quick installation, this plug and play piece is a great way to start getting more power out of your Mazda 3.
The CorkSport Advantage:
- Designed Specifically for SkyActiv Gasoline Engines*: CorkSport has developed a Mazda3 power series intake that will perform with the all-new SkyActiv engines
- Avoid Unwanted Check-Engine Lights: The MAF housing is precision machined from billet aluminum to prevent air leaks and inaccurate readings.
- Improve Power: Initial testing showed peak gains of +5 HP and +6 lb torque at the wheels with the 2.0L and 10hp
- Durable Dry Flow Air Filter: Reusable and water resistant, this unique non-woven filter media does not require oil to filter and trap dirt and actually sheds dirt under engine vibration unlike cotton-gauze which holds contaminates until you clean the filter
- Custom Reinforced Silicone Connector: Constructed from multi-layer nylon braid to provide more strength and power and a smooth internal transition for less turbulence and optimal flow
- Replacement Air Filter is: Available Here
- CorkSport Service and Support: Receive a 2-year warranty, full color installation instructions, all of the needed installation hardware, and knowledgeable telephone installation support

*Made for gasoline engines only. Will not work on diesel engines. With the CorkSport Intake installed on the SkyActiv engine, at higher RPM's you may hear a slight ticking from the opening and closing of the injectors. This is completely normal and is what helps increase torque and fuel economy.

(I' posting my question here since for some reason, I can post it in the FAQ) Hello, I've had your intake installed for about a couple of months now and it did indeed throw my CEL. I tried to just regularly clear the error codes but it came on again in a couple of days. I took my Mazda in to a professional shop and they tried to diagnose the problem and reset/clear the error codes and it still came back on after another few days. Apparently the error codes I am receiving are P0101 and P0172 BANK 1 for the circuit/range performance being out of sync and causing my engine to run too rich. (It was bogging or stalling a little in low gears) They suggested to reinstall the OEM intake to see if the ECU would remain cleared and the light to stay off and it actually worked. I'm just wondering if you heard of this happening before?

Fantastic, easy install, noticeable power increase, and great sound. Oh and the throttle response is way better. I will definitely be getting more parts from Corksport for my Mazda. I typically never leave reviews because usually its not worth the effort. It is well worth the effort this time.

I had a CS SRI but I ended up swapping it out with another manufacturer before I tuned my Mazda 3. There are some flaws with the design that can cause trouble with the MAF. Also I think a heat shield or box should be available for the SRI.

Not quite a aggressive-sounding as another Short Ram Intake I tried, but this CorkSport Short Ram Intake does have the added benefit of no check engine light. I have had it on for a thousand miles so far and everything is still working great!

Just got mine and am going to install this week. Curious if anybody recommends/uses a waterproof pre-filter with their intake? Should I be concerned about hydrolock in heavy rain? Any product recommendations for use with this filter?

Does this work on the 2015 mazda3 skyactiv or is their an updated one coming out?

I've been a CorkSport freak and power spender since my '09 Speed3. I've purchased the CS Downpipe, Full Exhaust, Inlet + Intake, and shifter kit. I now have a '14 Mazda3 and my first mod, and probably my only mod, of course, was the Intake. Yes it has the intake sound which is nice and yes, the 3 or 4 HP gain is ok... but best of all for me is the +4 mpg gain on the freeway. My commute from West Salem to Wilsonville is obviously all freeway. SO... After installing the intake, my avg. MPH combined went from 29.1 to 33.5. Killer Gains for me! And as always, CorkSport's R&D team nailed it! Thank you to the CS Team as always! I'm ready for the next gen Speed3 :)

My girlfriend and I are getting into cars. So this is our first car project. The shipping was pretty fast. Came in a couple of days. Installed it today. It took us a few hours because the o-ring thread broke off. We tried to make do but it didn't work out. Instead we went to oreily and bought a 32x1 bolt and it sized up perfectly. Tested the car looking for a check engine sign. None. Revved the car and it sounded superb. I went for a test ride while my lady made lunch. I could feel the horsepower gain. But love the sounds. Mahalo Corksport. From Hawaii

I love it!! The sound that come from it is great and my car is differently quicker and if you drive nice and don't go speeding around and launching at every street light and stop sign like in all cars you will and I did notice a great increase in my mpg but it is very hard to drive nice with the noise the SRI makes when you put your foot down on the gas
