Fitment Focused:
To make the Speed6 4 inch Intake the best, we rethought the way everyone has designed other intakes. The big change is with the MAF housing connection; instead of a silicone coupler to attach the MAF housing, the machined MAF housing is welded directly to the turbo inlet pipe. This gives you latitude to optimize fitment and filter size. You end up with a 4 inch intake that takes up less room than most 3.5” intakes while retaining all OEM mounting points, BPV, and PCV/boost vent ports.
Massive Power Potential:
4 inch intakes offer a bonus power potential. By moving up in intake diameter, you increase the maximum amount of air your Mazda 6 speed can ingest. With a retuned ECU, you also increase the amount of air the maximum the MAF sensor can read. Typically not offering a power bump on lower horsepower Mazdaspeed 6's already with big power can see an increase in power, just by reducing the airflow restriction before the turbo. The bigger diameter increases efficiency & increases the operating range of the MAF sensor to support over 900whp.
Optimized Filter:
The 4” Intake System reduces flow restrictions by using a huge air filter measuring 7 in length x 4.5 inches at the MAF inlet. Air Filter size is something most large intake systems ignore, which can ruin some of the benefits of going to a large intake. A larger pipe size does no good if your air filter flows poorly and/or is too small. You can see how much bigger this is than our normal filters in the picture!
Accurate Flow:
The Mazdaspeed 4 inch design may be a bit different from our typical intakes, the CS 4” intake still retains a billet aluminum MAF sensor housing. When combined with the pre-installed air straighteners it provides accurate airflow readings. The result is an easier to tune Mazdaspeed 6 ECU and will consistently read the actual amount of airflow entering your engine.
Materials & Manufacturing:
Each CorkSport 4” Intake System is made from mandrel bent 6061 aluminum tubing which ensures strength and smooth airflow into your turbo. The billet machined MAF housing and ports are TIG welded in place for upmost strength and reliability. The Speed6 intake pipe is wrinkle black powdercoated for a clean look that will last and match any engine bay. Also included is your choice of turbo inlet coupler made from 4-ply reinforced silicone. Turbo couplers size options are to fit 4.0”, 3.5”, and OEM sized compressor housings. Stainless steel T-bolt clamps are included to complete the intake kit with everything you need!
- A tune is required for installation of this intake. Your tuner must scale the MAF sensor to suit the larger diameter MAF housing.
- You will need to relocate and/or decrease the size of your battery and battery box to install this intake.
- Certain intercooler piping setups may not work with the CorkSport 4” Intake.

If you are going for a high hp build, this intake is perfect for you. It pairs really well with the CS MS6 FMIC kit. I recommend relocating your battery to the trunk. Depending on your BPV choice, you may have to adapt/build your own recirc tube or eliminate it and put a freeze plug on the recirc tube part of the intake.

5 stars! This intake is massive...in a good way! The fitment was great and the 90 degree coupler that connects to the turbo inlet was so easy to install; easier than the old 3.5 inch intake I use to have surprisingly. The textured coating looks great and blends into the engine bay seamlessly. AND THE NOISE OMG its fantastic! My CST5 turbo makes the best sounds with this massive intake and tuning has been cake with the Man Erik @ DramaTune.
