The thoughtful design improves the throttle response and power of your Mazda, while adding a little more detail to your engine bay. Our replacement pulley fits the 2.0 and 2.5 Skyactiv-G gas engines for the following models:

i wont comment on the craftsmanship because this is quite obvious (corksport).
initial impressions once installed are "meh." im thinking this pulley is more noticeable in manual transmission cars for rev matching. the only *noticeable change you'll feel in automatic is off-pedal deceleration; the car slows itself down quicker.. it is strange to me because, by this logic, it should accelerate quicker? i honestly feel no difference in acceleration. either way, this is a fairly inexpensive mod and a beautiful piece. i haven't driven enough yet to see if there's any mpg gains, but i figure there would be a marginal increase (maybe .5-1mpg city via easier rotational stop/go).
I have the Corksport rear motor mount and it would make my car vibrate like crazy when the A/C would turn on. I installed this and it runs much smoother now with the A/C. The car also shifts smoother.

Yes, it can be installed on the 2.5 motor.
So, I can't seem to "walk" the water pump belt off the OEM pulley in the way the instructions suggest... any pro tips? I have a 2014 M6 AT. I'm pulling downward with a shop towel, but not able to turn the pulley.
Use a ratchet on the main pulley and rotate it while pulling down on the belt just before the water pump pulley. That should do the trick.
I have seen that the crankshaft pulley can be installed in a 2013 skyactiv but which one should order the 2014+ model or the cx5 2013+ model

Will this fit the Mazda CX-5 (KF) 2.0 SkyActiv-G 165 Spec ?
We never got a 2.0 in the KF body style here in the states so we have no way to confirm for sure.
Does this fit any of the Gen 4 Mz3 models like 2019 or 2020?
We have not yet tested, so at this time no it does not.
Will this work on a 2018 2.0 Mazda CX-5 KF
We have not tried so we cannot say for certain. However, if its the standard 2.5 G then it should be OK. We cannot guarantee it though.

will this pulley cause wear and tear on my motor quicker? and is it ok to run it with the OEM motor mounts? i know the pros, but what are all the cons?

2 year warranty on the part itself. The warranty does not cover installation labor. The pulley comes with a warranty sheet to fill out.
do i need to do any programming modifications on the ECU after i add this pulley
You do not.
Does this only work on a manual transmission or does it also work for automatic transmission (2.0L/2.5L) engine for Mazda 3 2014+?
It works on both manual and automatic models.
After install this will involve our engine mounting or NVH? Currently our Mazda3 Skyactiv have slightly vibrate when engine idle (mine idle at 700rpm) or make a full brake (20 to 0km/h) when acceleration, I'm sensitive with those vibrations if this can solve my problem (minimum vibration) that was a great choice for us.
Will this part fit on the 2016 cx3 AWD?
Unfortunately, we have not gotten the chance to check it on the CX-3. However, it has the same engine as the rest, so it should fit. But no promises there.
I've just installed CS crank pulley. Do I need andy considerations before using it? Can I force it to 6000rpm (Drag race for example)
Yes you can.

how do you remove with a auto transmission if you don't have access to an air gun? as you cant just push the brake like you can in a manual transission
Have a buddy with an electric impact gun? 1/2 drive should do the trick.
That will get it off but how to I re-torque the bolt then?
If you don't have access to a torque wrench, you should be able to rent one from an auto parts store to make sure the bolt is torqued to spec.
Getting a torque wrench isn't the problem its the fact that since I can't keep the crankshaft from turning there is no way ill be able to torque check to see if it's between 55-80ft lbs
You will need to pull off the torque converter plate, and have someone hold the flywheel while you torque the bolt to spec.
Okay well I feel you need to implement some instructions for us who have an automatic for future people

what do I use to hold the flywheel as the hole is small also my car doesnt have a cover plate, is it bad that one isnt there?
A pry bar should work. I would wrap it will a microfiber towel so you dont scratch anything holding the flywheel. Your car should have the plate.
Do I need to buy a new torque to yield bolt for installation?
John, You should be able to use the original bolt as long as it is still good.

Just curious. When I search Mazda 6 parts this doesn't show up. But under the mazda 3 page is says this part compatible with a mazda 6. Why doesn't it show up under the mazda 6 parts?
It will fit with the 2014+ Mazda 6.

Will this cause an increase in wear on the engine (bearings, etc) since you're removing the factory harmonic balancer/dampener?
This will not cause anymore wear or tear on the factory bearings or parts of the engine.

Any reduction on the weight of the rotating mass will affect performance so yes you will get an improvement with an automatic model.
with this pulley not having a harmonic balancer and being lighter will it have a negative affect on the engines idle especially in a automatic as they idle at 500rpm
It should not affect the idle amount.
Would this part be recommended for an Automatic? Being that the new part is 68% lighter than the original, will this cause the computer to start coding?
It will work fine on an Automatic. I don't understand what you mean by "start coding". The ECU will safely run the car with the pulley added.
Does Mazda 3 come with 1 or 2 pulley?
The engine has 5 different pulleys all visible on the outside. There is only 1 Crank Pulley which is what this replaces.The rest are pulleys on accessory items, water pump, alternator, etc.
Can you guys make one for second gen. 2.0L? How come no love for second gen 2.0L? 2.0 in second gen I think is the same as first gen. so you would kill two birds with one stone ;)
There are limited amounts of 2.0L models in the second gen and even less people modifying them so we will not be designing one.

We are not planning one for the 2.3L or 2.5L models.
Is there any HP or torque gains from this?
By Lightening the crankshaft pulley you should have quicker response and better power. There isn't a specific HP gain.

Yes. The 2.0L SkyActiv engine in the 2012-2013 will work with this.

They do not have a harmonic balancer, but they are made from billet aluminum and the diameter is the same so they should have no problems.
