The CorkSport 2007-2013 Mazdaspeed 3 and 2004-2013 Mazda 3 coilovers are back and better than ever! Featuring 15-way adjustable damping, 2 inches of ride height adjustability, refined spring and damping rates, and front camber adjustment, the CorkSport coilovers will suit your needs whether you’re looking for some better handling on the street or a full autocross setup. Check out the full details below!
The front struts of the CS Coilovers use an inverted monotube design. What this means is the gas and oil portion of the strut is rotated 180° of a typical strut. While this may seem strange, it offers superior strength and reliability. When coupled with spherical pillow ball mounts instead of the OEM rubber mounts, you get a coilover that is ready for some serious driving
The CorkSport Coilovers use 7K front springs and 8.5K rear springs. By increasing the rear spring rate more than the front, you gain more neutral handling characteristics (less understeer) and a better ride. This setup has been carefully chosen to provide great handling without being too harsh to daily drive. We even went through frequency analysis to determine if our spring and damping rates were suitable for the street!
While handling benefits are the main goal of the CorkSport coilovers, you get a great appearance boost as well. Lowering a car lowers its center of gravity, reduces body roll, and obviously, looks great. The CS coils offer approximately 2” of ride height adjustability, so you can really dial in how your car handles and looks. Minimum ride height drop is 0.5-0.75” lower than stock.
Both the front and rear CS coilovers offer 15-way damping adjustability. This offers you the ability to tune your ride to your comfort and handling goals. Both the front and rear damping adjustments can be easily accessed, with no disassembly required! The front end also offers camber adjustability to really dial in your handling or wheel fitment. Up to three degrees of negative camber can be achieved.
The CorkSport Coilover kit is a direct replacement for the OEM suspension system. This means the install is quick, easy, and does not require the use of spring compressors. We even went with studs instead of bolts for the front shock tower mounts to help with install. No permanent modifications are required however; you can choose to modify your strut towers for frequent camber adjustment.
All components in the system are designed to stand the test of time. All steel components are powdercoated while all aluminum pieces are anodized so you can be sure your coilovers will last as long as the rest of your car.
